Big Slick announces 2026 dates, change to popular annual activity

A star-studded fundraiser is returning for its 17th year in Kansas City with familiar fun and some changes. Video above: Big Slick 2025 brings together celebs, KC natives for a good cause Big Slick, a fundraiser hosted by celebrities and Kansas City natives, will be back May 29-30 in 2026. Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, David Koechner, Eric Stonestreet and Heidi Gardner will once again host the event, inviting celebrities and friends to join them for a good cause. Each year, Big Slick benefits pediatric cancer research at Children’s Mercy Kansas City. In 2025, the event raised $4.5 million for the hospital. But in 2026, Big Slick fans can expect some changes. The Big Slick Party & Show, the main event of the weekend, will return to the T-Mobile Center on Saturday. The event promises a night of comedy, music and “one-of-a-kind chaos.” This year, however, there will be no Celebrity Classic softball game. Due to scheduling limitations with the FIFA World Cup, the Kansas City Royals will not be in town when Big Slick is scheduled. The Celebrity Classic usually takes place before a Royals home game. In lieu of the softball game, Big Slick will host a VIP-ticketed, limited engagement fundraiser. Details on tickets and celebrity guests won’t be revealed until tickets go on sale in the spring.
