Bowman Draft 2025, which will feature the much sought-after “1st Bowman” cards for many members of the 2025 MLB Draft class, officially has a preorder date: Monday, Dec. 15.

The preorder date likely means a release date in mid January, roughly six weeks later than the 2024 release date of Dec. 4.

A full checklist has not yet been released, but early product shots from Topps confirm the release will include the 1st Bowman card for this year’s No. 1 overall draft pick, Eli Willits:

Missing from the early product shots so far is a card featuring No. 4 overall pick Ethan Holliday. It’s very possible he could be in 2025 Bowman Draft, but there’s also a chance collectors might have to wait until 2026 Bowman for his first card. In recent years, Topps has purposely left a handful of prospects out of Bowman Draft, instead saving their “1st Bowman” cards for the following year’s Bowman release. Until the full checklist or more product shots are released, we won’t know.

Early product images also indicate the return of at least three popular inserts: Crystalized (pictured below), Spotlight and In Action.

There is no official confirmation yet of other inserts, case hits or other big chase cards. Bowman Draft 2023 featured a huge chase for a Tom Brady insert, and last year’s releases included a John Elway insert.

Pricing and formats have not yet been announced. Last year’s Bowman Draft came in three formats:

Hobby boxes featuring three autographs starting at $519.99

Jumbo boxes featuring five autographs starting at $739.99 on the Topps website

Breaker’s Delight boxes featuring three autographs (only sold by secondary retailers and in online breaks).

The week of Dec. 15 is shaping up to be a big one for cards of 2025 draft prospects. Besides the Bowman Draft preorder, it is expected that Panini Prospect Edition 2025 (which does feature Ethan Holliday) will be released that Wednesday, Dec. 17.
