MILWAUKEE — The Brewers Community Foundation raised more than $5.7 million in 2025 through the foundation’s numerous events, programs, and donations, benefiting 200 nonprofits throughout Wisconsin, including some in Dane County.
Cecelia Gore, the Brewers Community Foundation’s executive director, spoke to News 3 Now about the organization and its focus on health, education, recreation, and basic needs.
“We’re thrilled to have fans from all over the state visit the ballpark. American Family Field, and participate in cheering the team on, along with helping us raise charitable dollars for the foundation,” Gore said.
While the Brewers Foundation focuses on six counties around Milwaukee, it also supports Madison-based organizations, including an African-American focused center and the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County. Gore noted that the foundation helped fund the Vel R. Phillips Statue at the Wisconsin State Capitol.
Typically, 200 nonprofits receive funds, with the foundation’s average grants ranging between $5,000 and $10,000.
Every player, investor, and supporter of the Brewers contributes to the BCF through financial donations, according to the foundation.
“We raise money from our fans and our players,” Gore added.
Beyond player involvement, the Brewers front office staff also contributed by launching a campaign to support domestic violence survivors. This effort supported four vital community partners, including Sojourner Family Peace Center, Hope House, Waukesha Women’s Center, and Milwaukee Women’s Center, providing 250 care packages and a $5,000 grant for basic needs.
Last December, the Brewers Community Foundation raised over $4.5 million, and to date, it has raised over $66 million since its inception in 2010.
The 50/50 raffle, which allows fans to directly contribute to nonprofits while earning a chance to win half of that day’s proceeds at every home game, raised over $4 million.
