Missouri baseball is ready turn the page on its historically poor season and look to the next chapter under coach Kerrick Jackson. The Tigers unveiled their full schedule for the 2026 season Thursday.
Combatting the cold Missouri weather, Mizzou will look to have a hot start to the season in Florida. The 2026 campaign will kickoff with a series against Mt. Saint Mary’s on Feb. 13-15 in Ft. Meyers, followed by a midweek against FAU and New Haven.
After they get the chance to thaw the cold bats and arms from the offseason, the Tigers will head back to Columbia for its home opener in a two-game midweek series against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Feb. 24-25. Mizzou will host North Dakota State for a weekend series and UIC in a four-game set. One more midweek against Southern Indiana will lead Missouri into Southeastern Conference play.
It would be difficult for MU to put up a repeat or worse performance in conference play this season compared to its 2025 campaign. Mizzou went 3-27 in the SEC and lost 24 consecutive SEC games. The Tigers were plagued by pitching struggles and injuries that led to their downfall.
A fellow Tiger will be the first conference foe. Auburn comes to town March 13-15 for the SEC opener. Missouri will also travel to take on Tennessee, the reigning 2024 College World Series Champions. The Volunteers are under new leadership for the upcoming campaign, as previous coach and former Tiger Tony Vitello accepted a position as the manager of the San Francisco Giants.
Sandwiched between the first two SEC series is a matchup with rival Kansas on March 17 in Lawerence. The Tigers will conclude the home-and-home against the Jayhawks on March 31 at Taylor Stadium. Missouri will also have a home-and-home against Missouri State with games at home April 7 and in Springfield on April 14. Annual opponents Illinois, Lindenwood and SIUE will be faced March 24, March 25 and April 21, respectively.
Other notable non-conference games include Arizona State and SEMO, the latter of which defeated Mizzou in its home opener in the 2024 season.
