Tuesday night is the draft lottery. Cleveland is set to get pick 19 and pick either 29 or 30. Wednesday afternoon is the Rule 5 draft. At the moment, the Guardians have two open roster spots.
Buster Olney says there are a lot of trade talks and a lot of teams open to engaging in trades, for what that’s worth. Cleveland tends to be active in the trade market.
Mackenzie Gore is a fun trade target, but I doubt the Guardians will be willing to pay the amount it would take to get him.
