After going 12-2 in San Joaquin Athletic Association play for a co-championship with Bear Creek, Tokay High’s softball team was awarded with three all-league selections and a top honor.
Tokay shortstop Emma Misasi was named the league’s Outstanding Defender after tallying just three errors in 99 chances.
The senior also batted .526 with three home runs, three triples, 13 doubles, 31 RBIs and 41 runs.
The league’s MVP went to Stagg senior Aerie Garcia, who helped the Delta Kings to a third-place finish in the league standings at 10-4. Edison junior Leila Tatupu was named Outstanding Hitter, and Bear Creek’s Natalie Trujillo was named Outstanding Pitcher.
All-league selections went to Tokay freshman Ava Pasqualicchio, the team’s first baseman, sophomore Brooklyn Jeremic-Schaede, a pitcher and outfielder, and senior Hannah Nava, a third baseman.
Jeremic-Schaede went 9-4 in the cicle this season, tallying a 2.78 earned-run average in 19 appearances, with 39 earned runs in 98 1/3 innings pitched, with 87 strikeouts. Jeremic-Schaede also batted .554, with a home run, 15 doubles, 22 RBIs and 34 runs.
Nava batted .366 with seven doubles, 21 RBIs and 17 runs, and Pasqualicchio batted .475 with a home run, two triples, 10 doubles, 25 RBIs and 24 runs.
Others making all-league were senior catcher Ajanee Davis, freshman shortstop Jocelynn Greenlee and senior third baseman Alyssa Maloy from Bear Creek, senior utility player Rachael Symoungkhoune, freshman pitcher/first baseman Angeleya Miranda and senior outfielder Tatiana Negrete from Stagg, junior catcher Angeleya Miranda and junior outfielder Naderah Ali from Edison, senior catcher/third baseman Kimora Bell and senior utility player Paulina Sanchez from Chavez, sophomore shortstop Baylee Santiago and senior third baseman Ayshiatt Gheith from Weston Ranch, senior pitcher/shortstop Jazmine Enriquez from McNair, and freshman shortstop Aliciana Young from Franklin.
Honorable mention went to Tokay senior outfielder Jaden Hiers (.302 with a home run, five doubles, 15 RBIs and 21 runs), along with senior second baseman/outfielder Gabby Orsi from Bear Creek, senior outfielder Jazlyn Ramirez from Stagg, sophomore pitcher Treshia Garcia from Weston Ranch, senior outfielder Mariah Torres from Edison, junior shortstop/pitcher Celina Valadez from McNair, senior shortstop/pitcher Natalia Dias from Chavez, and junior catcher Alena Torres Garcia from Franklin.
