It’s been a quiet offseason for the Los Angeles Dodgers so far, with their only major move being their decision to re-sign infielder and World Series hero Miguel Rojas to a one-year, $5.5 million deal. With team needs in the bullpen and outfield, the Dodgers could look to be aggressive at the 2025 MLB Winter Meetings.
“The Dodgers haven’t made their big move yet,” Russell Dorsey said on MLB Network.

That could change in a matter of days, as team executives, agents and reporters flock to Orlando to hash out trades, free agent signings and other league business items. Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes, who will be in Orlando this week, has given clues about how the Dodgers might approach free agency, as they look to fill specific holes on the roster.
“By being aggressive over the last couple offseasons, we do have a very, very good core in place,” Gomes told the Los Angeles Times. “So it’s continuing to fine-tune and look at what the weaknesses on the roster are and try to address those. … It’s being very targeted in who we go out and look to acquire. I think that holds true across the board, without many glaring holes.”

A player that would both help the Dodgers shore up their defense in the outfield as well as provide a major boost in the batting order would be signing free agent right fielder Kyle Tucker. Tucker, who is just 28, would help add some youth to the aging Dodgers’ roster, although he would come at a hefty cost.
The Dodgers are looking to sign players to shorter-term, higher average annual value contracts, and Tucker is likely seeking a deal of at least eight to 10 years. However, if the Dodgers are truly looking to make a “big move” there would be few that would be bigger than signing Tucker, who would provide an instant boost to an already-stacked Dodgers roster.
