I have a new rule proposal for MLB.
Ban the home run.
Kyle Schwarber has gotten too good at it. It’s become a health and safety issue as well as a blight on pace of play. Someone in the crowd’s hand could get sore catching one of those 105 MPH rockets that go into the stands. And it takes too long for the players to go ALL THE WAY around the bases after launching a moonshot. Then we all have to wait while a new ball is brought to the field because somebody had the audacity to launch the other one out of the stadium?! It’s boring. Do the right thing MLB and ban the home run.
