The New York Yankees made the postseason this year, but failed to make a run to the World Series. With plenty of big-name free agents available, the Yankees have a chance to improve their roster and get back to the Fall Classic.
One of the best free agents available this offseason is Kyle Tucker. The superstar slugger recently reportedly visited the Toronto Blue Jays’ spring training facility in Florida, close to wear he lives in Tampa. The Yankees were expected by experts to get involved in the Tucker sweepstakes, but general manager Brian Cashman revealed Tucker has not visited the Yankees’ Tampa facility.
“Brian Cashman said Tucker has NOT visited Steinbrenner Field,” wrote The Athletic’s Chris Kirschner on X. “He did not say whether or not he expects him to visit at all.”

The Blue Jays are coming off a trip to the World Series and have already added Dylan Cease and reportedly agreed to a deal with Cody Ponce. Adding Tucker to their roster would make them even better, and the Yankees would seemingly trail behind them in the American League East hierarchy going into the season.
Not only did Cashman reveal that Tucker has not taken the short trip from his home to the Yankees’ spring training facility, but he also said something that could point to a lack of interest in signing Tucker.
“We are too left-handed right now, without a doubt,” Cashman told MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch.
Cashman made that comment while also noting the Yankees’ desire to bring Cody Bellinger back. If Bellinger returns, the Yankees would have Austin Wells, Jazz Chisholm Jr., Ryan McMahon, Trent Grisham, Bellinger, Jasson DomÃnguez and Ben Rice all hitting left-handed and seeing significant playing time.
