The Toronto Blue Jays have one of the teams most notably linked to four-time All-Star Kyle Tucker this offseason.
Toronto reportedly hosted the outfielder for a visit last week at the organization’s facility in Dunedin, Florida. With the winter meetings now in full swing, MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand shared a column highlighting key storylines to follow throughout the week. One nugget Feinsand pointed out is that the Blue Jays are making a “strong push” for Tucker.

“The Blue Jays are making a strong push for Tucker, hosting him for a visit at their spring facility in Florida last week,” Feinsand wrote on Sunday. “Tucker isn’t expected to make a decision before the end of the meetings, though an aggressive offer from Toronto – which is also hoping to bring back Bo Bichette – could always push that timeline up. Bellinger’s timeline could depend on what happens with Tucker, as some of the teams interested in the latter could view the former as Plan B.”
The Blue Jays already are in a good position. They made it to Game 7 of the World Series and then followed up by signing former San Diego Padres ace Dylan Cease to a seven-year deal.
Tucker is the type of talent that could take the organization to an even higher level, maybe even past the two-time reigning champion Los Angeles Dodgers. That’s speculation, but there is a lot of smoke around Tucker and the Blue Jays right now.
