On Instagram, Harper revealed he underwent a treatment called EBO.
The treatment took out a third of his blood, but quickly returned it to his body.
“BOO is a procedure in which 1/3 of your blood is drawn from your body, passed through a filtration and ozonation device, and then returned to your bloodstream,” Harper captioned his post.
“Circulates your blood outside your body. Exposes the blood to ozone (O₃) and will oxygenate or filter the blood before returning it to you.”

According to Harper, the treatment has a long list of health benefits.
These include increasing his energy, improving circulation, reducing inflammation, and more.
Harper also hinted that this isn’t the only wild procedure he will undergo this offseason, with “more videos to come of other things as well.”
“My guy @drjoshredd is a magician. Had a great week of wellness starting with this awesome machine,” Harper wrote.
While Harper was thrilled with his procedure, many fans were not and shared their concerns on social media.
“I don’t trust any of this,” one fan said.
“How are team doctors allowing him to do this?” another fan said.
“This just gives me the heebie-jeebies. I’ll keep my blood inside my body if I can,” a third fan said.
Harper is entering his 15th MLB season in 2026.
He finished the 2025 season with an .844 OPS with 27 home runs and 75 RBI.
