JAMESTOWN — Jamestown Area Youth Baseball (JAYBAL) is proud to announce Chad Weber as the new Head Coach of the Jamestown Legion baseball program, beginning with the 2026 season.

Weber brings more than a decade of coaching experience across youth, travel, and Legion-level baseball, as well as a lifelong connection to the sport. Weber has spent the past several years coaching within the Jamestown baseball community, serving in roles from 14U through Legion baseball.

“We are excited for Chad to lead our Legion program,” said Michael Smith, JAYBAL Director of Coaching. “His philosophy, leadership style, and commitment to player development reflect exactly what we were seeking in the next leader of our Legion program: high standards, modern training, and a strong desire to build a connected baseball culture from Tee-Ball through our Legion programs.”

Prior to moving to Jamestown, Weber spent nearly 20 years in Alaska, building and growing a software consulting firm while holding baseball positions from Legion Program Manager, Board President, and travel coach in multiple organizations, providing him with a broad developmental perspective and a strong foundation for leading Jamestown’s Legion athletes.

“Jamestown has a strong baseball community and I’m excited about the effort the JAYBAL board and community donors have put in to help with the upgrade of our facilities,” Weber said. “The result of those efforts must be met by the players, and I look forward to helping our players continue to grow, compete, and represent this program with pride.”

Weber has begun working with JAYBAL leadership on off-season development programming, including training opportunities inside the new Eagles Nest facility, and preparing for the 2026 summer season.
