The Pittsburgh Pirates will recruit Gregory Soto (30), a former All-Star left-hander.
Local media such as “ESPN” reported the news of the contract agreement between the two sides on the 10th (Korea Standard Time). The contract is worth $7.75 million for one year (11.47 billion won).
Soto went 15-34-56 with a 4.26 ERA in 391 games for the Detroit Tigers (2019-22), Philadelphia Phillies (2023-24), Baltimore Orioles (2024-25) and New York Mets (2025).

In 2021 and 2022, he represented Detroit in the All-Star Game.
Last season, he pitched 70 games and played 60 1/3 innings for Baltimore and the Mets, recording 0.6 homers, 3.6 walks and 10.4 strikeouts per 4.18 WHIP 1.4259 innings.
He was sluggish with a 0.307 POPS 0.801 against right-handed hitters, but he did well with a 0.192 POPS 0.549 against left-handed hitters.
Soto is expected to play a key role in the Pittsburgh bullpen, where both David Bedna and Colin Holderman have left.
Pittsburgh is actively moving this offseason. Fielders FA has offered Kyle Schwarber a contract worth more than $100 million.
Schwarber missed it, but instead, he is calmly recruiting players in areas that need reinforcement. Earlier, he gave up right-hander Johan Oviedo to the Boston Red Sox and recruited outfielder Joestinson Garcia.
