The Los Angeles Dodgers made a huge pitching acquisition during the Winter Meetings, signing free agent closer Edwin Diaz to a three-year, $69 million deal, but they may not be done reinforcing their pitching staff just yet.

The Dodgers have been heavily linked to Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal, and could look to acquire the starter via trade before the end of the offseason to add to their rotation. Per USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, The Tigers held serious conversations with multiple teams about Skubal at the Winter Meetings.

Elsewhere in the Dodgers’ rotation, Yoshinobu Yamamoto will be available for the World Baseball Classic and will pitch for Team Japan in the upcoming tournament.

On the other end of the spectrum, though, Roki Sasaki will not feature for Team Japan. The 24-year-old spent a majority of the season on the injured list, and the Dodgers likely don’t want to risk further setbacks for the youngster.
