Lotte Giants held pitcher Kyoyama Masaya in their arms in the Asian quarter.

Lotte said on the 12th, “We recruited Masaya Kyoyama, who can lead the starting pitcher to the bullpen, for $150,000 in the Asian quarter.” Lotte conducted a tryout test for Masaya Kyoyama at the Miyazaki site where the closing camp was held in November.

With a physique of 183 centimeters and 80 kilograms, Masaya Kyoyama is a right-handed pitcher with advantages of up to 155 kilometers of fastballs and large splitters. It has a simple and soft pitching form and operates the game based on the rotational power of the fastball and the trajectory of the breaking ball. He played in the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for nine seasons and gained more than 1,000 innings of experience.

Lotte General Manager Park Joon-hyuk explained why he chose him, saying, “Kyoyama Masaya, who was recruited by the Asian quarter, is a player with high rotational power and a large fork ball. Based on his experience as a starter and an intermediate pitcher in Japanese professional baseball, he decided to add strength to the starting pitching staff.”
