The Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to sign veteran right-handed relief pitcher Bryse Wilson on Friday.

MLB Network’s Jon Heyman first reported the deal.

The Phillies continue to add bullpen depth this offseason, with the team also dealing for righty Yoniel Curet from the Rays this week. Philadelphia’s bullpen is uncertain in front of closer Jhoan Duran, who is the unquestioned closer.

Wilson joins the mix of potential bullpen arms. He is a nine-year veteran who had a down year in 2025, pitching for the Chicago White Sox.

Here is a look at what the Phillies have in their current bullpen:

Jhoan Duran (Closer)

Matt Strahm (Left-handed high-leverage/multi-inning)

Orion Kerkering (Right-handed setup/high-leverage)

José Alvarado (Left-handed high-leverage)

Tanner Banks (Left-handed reliever/multi-inning)

A Look at Wilson’s Recent Performance

In 2025, he made 20 appearances for the White Sox, working a 6.65 ERA, 1.82 WHIP, and a 28/19 K/BB ratio over 47 1/3 innings. The 27-year-old has been both a starter and a relief pitcher, with a 4.82 ERA over 461 innings in 163 appearances, making 57 starts.

His best season came in 2023 when he went 6-0 with a 2.58 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, three saves in 76.2 innings pitched.
