The Broken Bow Athletic Department hosted a letter of intent signing celebration for senior Dominic Nowak who will be joining the Peru State baseball program. Peru State College is a public college located in Peru, Nebraska. Nowak visited with KCNI/KBBN sports and shared what made Peru State the right fit for him.
“I’m in a small town atmosphere and the coach was always talking to me from my sophomore summer to now. So once I started talking to him it just felt like a really good fit for me.”
Nowak has been an active member of the Broken Bow American Legion baseball program and has one year of eligibility remaining. He talked about what the program has meant to him and how it has helped prepare him for this opportunity.
“I think it’s brought me a lot of experience playing up with some older guys that you might not do at another school on like JV. Still got a bunch of friendships made from all the kids. And then my favorite part was you get to go and serve the community for what they gave to us.”
Outside of baseball, Nowak said he is considering the study of Accounting and/or Health Care Business Administration while in college.
