The Lotte Giants have finalized their 2026 foreign player roster, signing two experienced pitchers with both MLB and NPB backgrounds and securing a new deal with star hitter Victor Reyes.

The club announced on the 11th that it has signed right-handers Elvin Rodriguez and Jeremy Beasley, each for a total of $1 million. Both bring size, velocity, and extensive international experience to Lotte’s revamped rotation.

Rodriguez, a 193cm Dominican right-hander, throws a fastball up to 157 km/h with a full mix of cutter, sweeper, curveball, and changeup. After time in MLB and Japan’s Yakult Swallows, he posted an impressive 2.77 ERA over two NPB seasons before appearing in seven MLB games with Milwaukee this year.

Beasley, standing at 188cm and 106kg, also boasts MLB, MiLB, and NPB experience. His 158 km/h fastball and high-value slider have made him a reliable starter, logging over 100 innings for the 2025 Central League–champion Hanshin Tigers. He expressed excitement to pitch in front of Lotte’s famously passionate Busan fans.

General manager Park Jun-hyuk said Rodriguez’s ability to command breaking balls and Beasley’s proven game management in Japan made them ideal additions.

Meanwhile, Lotte re-signed Victor Reyes for $1.4 million, rewarding a standout season in which he led the team in hits and earned his second consecutive Golden Glove. Over two years with Lotte, Reyes has posted a .339 average, 218 RBIs, and an .883 OPS.

With all three foreign slots secured, Lotte enters 2026 with renewed confidence in its upgraded roster.
