GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Kevin O’Sullivan, the head baseball coach at the University of Florida, has returned to the program after a personal leave of absence.
University officials announced on Wednesday that O’Sullivan had reassumed his regular coaching duties.
The coach announced in October that he would take an immediate leave of absence due to unspecified personal matters for an indefinite period.
“I want to thank the University and athletic department for their support,” said O’Sullivan. “I am excited to be back and am ready to get to work with our team as we prepare for the upcoming 2026 season.”
O’Sullivan will lead a staff consisting of associate head coach Tom Slater, assistant coach Taylor Black, and pitching coach David Kopp.
In August, it was announced that O’Sullivan would be suspended for three games following inappropriate remarks he made during the 2025 NCAA Conway Regional.
