The winning bid for 9553 Bella Terra Drive was $6.72 million, according to Concierge Auctions. Bidding on the property started Dec. 10 and ended Thursday.
The castle-like home within the gated Montserrat neighborhood had been recently listed for $11.75 million, and Concierge expected bids to start between $4 million and $6.5 million.
The buyer was not disclosed. There were three bidders vying for the property. The deal is expected to close after the end of the year.

Simpson stepped down as CEO of his Fort Worth-based TXO Partners LP earlier this year. He remains as the firm’s chairman.
The home is more than 19,000 square feet with additional guest quarters of roughly 4,800 square feet. There are seven bedrooms, 13 full bathrooms and five half baths.
The hilltop mansion sits on 2.12 acres. Amenities of note include a wine room, private theater, custom gym, professional sports court and a climate controlled- indoor pool and hot tub adjacent to the primary suite.
The primary bedroom includes a spa-style bath with a multiple-head, walk-in shower and a “Texas-sized” custom closet. A private office sits above the closet.
The home was built by J. Lambert Custom Homes.
Simpson sold the home in 2021. Tarrant Appraisal District records show the property was most recently owned by John Lupo and Andreana Michael.
