A void of semi-pro baseball in Manitowoc is set to be filled next year.
The Manitowoc Bandits disbanded in October after several successful seasons in a row, with Manager Chris Cisler citing “promises, expectations, and financial obligations between the city, school district, and our organization” as the cause.
This also came after the reformation of the Two Rivers Polar Bears for the third time after a 6-year absence.
However, Manitowoc will not be without a semi-pro team in 2026, as the Manitowoc White Caps have been announced as the newest team to join the Shoreland League.
Very few details are available at the moment, as the announcement was made yesterday by the team on its newly created Facebook page.
