On Christmas morning, people around the world will run down the stairs to see what gifts have been left under the Christmas tree.

If the Cleveland Guardians organization could put together a wish list and ask for a few presents this year, these are three gifts that they should have at the top of their list.

The Guardians have made plenty of moves to revamp the bullpen, but have yet to add a position player to the MLB roster.

Cleveland did sign OF Stuart Fairchild to a minor league deal, but the best gift the Guardians could get this Christmas is another outfielder, preferably right-handed, to add to the position group.

The Guardians adding Austin Hays, Miguel Andujar, or Harrison Bader would be the best way for the front office to add a little extra holiday cheer.

Cleveland is desperately relying on Chase DeLauter and George Valera to be the answers to the team’s dreadful offensive woes from the outfield position group from the last few seasons.

Each player has star potential, but the issue is that both outfielders are injury-prone. Steven Kwan has even seen his fair share of time on the injured list throughout his career.

Health will be an important factor in whether the Guardians’ outfielder reach their ceiling, or if it’s another season of below-average production from the group.

Even though it’s incredibly unlikely, guaranteed health through the 162-game season would be a wonderful Christmas gift for the Guardians to get.

The Guardians have rebuilt their bullpen this offseason after stressing the need for more depth from their reliever core. Outside of Shawn Armstrong, many of Cleveland’s additions are projects the organization hopes will unlock one of its arms.

The Guardians should be hoping for the gift of one of those pitchers having a breakout season and emerging as a key piece in the middle innings.

Maybe Erik Sabrowski will solidify himself in that role. Perhaps Connor Brogdon is on the verge of a breakthrough. There’s a chance Rule 5 selection Peyton Pallette lives up to the hype.
