One of the more fascinating players available on the MLB open market this offseason is veteran infielder Bo Bichette of the Toronto Blue Jays. Toronto is coming off a tough loss in Game 7 of the World Series, and there have been all sorts of rumors that the team wants to run things back next year.
*PREDICTION*
However, Bichette remains on the open market, and there has been no sense of urgency from the Blue Jays to keep him around. Bichette dealt with some injuries during the Blue Jays’ playoff run, but he was able to get healthy enough to help the team during the World Series.
During the entire 2025 season, Bichette was a massive reason for the success that Toronto saw. Following a down 2024 year, the veteran infielder turned things around, showing that the All-Star caliber player was still in him.
Bichette, a two-time All-Star, hit .311 with 18 home runs and 94 runs batted in over 139 games played this season. Toronto would love to bring him back, but at the price he may be looking for, it could be tough for the organization.
As the offseason continues to move on without Bichette signing back with the Blue Jays, the idea of him leaving town has grown even louder. There are multiple teams interested in stealing him away from Toronto, and if the organization isn’t careful, they could see the All-Star walk out the door for nothing.

Bo Bichette Leaves Toronto, Lands With Los Angeles Dodgers
One team that has been linked with Bichette all winter has been the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the fit could be perfect for both sides. Los Angeles is coming off a second straight World Series title, and now the organization is looking to make it a three-peat in 2026.
The Dodgers have reportedly been looking for ways to improve the offense, and adding someone like Bichette could really make this team go forward next season. Bichette could slide right in at second base for this team, and since his camp has been telling interested teams that he is open to this idea, Los Angeles makes a lot of sense.
Los Angeles doesn’t have a long-term solution at the second base position, and Bichette could slide in to fill that role moving forward. The Dodgers have been interested in Bichette for some time now, and this could be the opportunity to strike while the iron is hot to land his services.
While Los Angeles has more of a need in the outfield, bringing Bichette on could allow them to move some other players into the outfield. The Dodgers are all about flexibility within the players on the roster, and Bichette could help this squad open more doors to be even more formidable.
Overall, the Dodgers are one of, if not the best, landing spots for Bichette, other than him returning to the Blue Jays. The two sides know each other well now, and Bichette would get a chance to get paid while also competing for a World Series title.
