A transgender employee claims Chicago Cubs Baseball Club LLC subjected her to unequal treatment, misgendering and other sex-based harassment, and retaliation for complaining about the alleged bias, a new federal lawsuit alleges.
Christopher Cooper, who identifies as female, says she’s faced sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation discrimination—including regular name-calling and slurs by coworkers—and team management has failed to stop the behavior, according to the complaint filed Dec. 27 in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
The Cubs didn’t immediately respond Monday to a request for comment.
