Speaking on the Splash Hit Territory podcast, Mike Krukow said he believes either player could help San Francisco right away. The episode was released Wednesday, during ongoing offseason talks around the league.“I like Bo Bichette,” Krukow said around the five-minute mark. He explained that watching Bichette closely last October changed his view. Krukow praised Bichette’s bat speed and control, calling it “top level.” While he admitted he does not know the current state of Bichette’s health, he made it clear that the hitting talent stands out.Krukow also spoke highly of Cody Bellinger. He pointed to Bellinger’s defense and ability to play multiple positions as a major plus. Krukow added that Bellinger already understands the Bay Area and the fan base, which could make the transition smooth. “I think he would be a good addition,” Krukow said.The Giants already have a strong infield group with Willy Adames, Matt Chapman, and Rafael Devers. Krukow said leadership from these players, along with pitcher Logan Webb, will be key moving forward.Krukow highlighted Adames as the tone-setter, saying his chemistry with Chapman and Webb has grown strong. He also noted how Devers settled down after a slow start and showed his true level late in the season.With Adames, Chapman, and Devers signed through at least 2030, and Webb locked in through 2028, the Giants’ base is stable.
