The Texas Rangers scored one run but the Chicago White Sox scored four runs.

I don’t know, man. It’s not looking good for your Texas Rangers. Three hits for the bats tonight against a team that has the same record that they were rocking through 50 games last season when they set the modern record for losses in a season.

Meanwhile, tonight’s starter Tyler Mahle was probably due for one of these kinds of games (three runs in five innings) but there’s no reason to believe you can’t absorb an outing like that against the American League’s worst team unless perhaps you have the American League’s worst lineup.

Player of the Game: A nifty scoreless inning of mop up relief with a couple of Ks for Cole Winn. Remember Cole Winn? He’s back in mop up duty form.

Up Next: The Rangers will again take on the White Sox with RHP Jack Leiter expected to pitch for Texas opposite RHP Jonathan Cannon for Chicago.

Saturday afternoon’s first pitch from Rate Field is scheduled for 3:10 pm CT and will be carried on the Rangers Sports Network.
