The organizations collaborated for over a decade with leadership working together since 2010, formalizing their partnership in 2019
Prep Baseball and Bullpen Tournaments completed their merger and launched Capacity Sports Group (CSG), combining venue management, event operations, and scouting infrastructure into a single operating platform.
The combined organization brings together three brands: Bullpen Tournaments, Prep Baseball, and Top Tier travel baseball. The merger formalizes a relationship that dates back to 2010, when leadership teams first began working together, and builds on a 2019 partnership that created the Prep Baseball Tournaments brand.
Operating Model Spans Six Business Lines
CSG operates across six integrated areas: facility management, tournaments, showcases and scouting, technology and media, teams, and merchandise and partnerships.
On the facility side, CSG expects to operate nearly 150 diamonds by the end of 2026 across multiple sports complexes, including Grand Park Sports Campus. The company handles field maintenance, food and beverage, janitorial services, and guest experience operations.
Prep Baseball Tournaments hosts more than 300 elite events annually across 10 exclusive venues and dozens of partner sites nationwide. The tournament business projects 20 million visitors to events in 2026.
The scouting operation runs across 47 states, Canada, and Taiwan. Prep Baseball executed more than 1,600 events in 2025 and generated over 2 billion impressions through its media platform during the year.
Top Tier, the travel baseball program in the portfolio, fields more than 260 teams across 10 states. Since 2003, the program has produced 79 MLB Draft picks and 11 Major Leaguers.
Leadership and Growth Plans
Ken Kocher serves as CEO of Capacity Sports Group. Sean Duncan continues as President of Prep Baseball, a role he has held for 22 years. Blake Hibler leads as President of Tournaments and Venues.
“This is the next step in our evolution and an extension of what we have been building for 22 years,” said Duncan. “Our merger simply strengthens our ability to operate at the highest level, with world-class venues, elite events, and a unified standard of service nationwide.”
Kocher indicated expansion plans beyond baseball. “We’re uniting organizations with shared values and a proven track record to build a platform for long-term growth,” he said. “Over time, we expect to expand into additional sports and thoughtfully add complementary organizations.”
Integrated Platform Across Venue and Event Operations
The combined organization connects venue operations directly to event programming and scouting services. CSG manages both the physical facilities and the competitive events held within them, allowing the company to control the full athlete and family experience.
“By uniting Bullpen Tournaments, Prep Baseball, and Top Tier, we’ve created an integrated platform that connects venues, events, technology, and people,” said Hibler.
The company scales commerce through integrated merchandising, in-house printing capabilities, and sponsor partnerships across its venues and events. The technology stack supports athlete tracking and data management throughout the competition and development process.
Building on a Decade of Collaboration
The merger represents the culmination of a working relationship that began in 2010. The two organizations have operated closely for more than a decade before completing the formal combination.
CSG positions itself as the only fully integrated youth sports platform combining venue management with event operations at this scale. The company’s footprint spans facility operations, competitive programming, scouting infrastructure, media operations, and team development across multiple states.
