The Los Angeles Dodgers and reliever Brusdar Graterol agreed at a $2.8 million salary for the 2026 season, avoiding arbitration.

MLB insider Robert Murray was the first to confirm the news.

Graterol missed all of last season due to a shoulder labrum tear that he sustained in 2024. There was speculation the right-hander would return for the postseason, but he announced he would not be returning in October.

“I’d like to tell all my Dodgers fanbase that I would have liked to be in the postseason but my rehabilitation hasn’t been easy, so I’ve already changed my mindset for 2026,” Graterol wrote in a post translated to English. “Thanks to everyone for always being attentive, I love you Dodgers fans.”

Since the start of the 2024 season, Graterol has played in just 10 total games (regular season and postseason). The right-hander didn’t make his 2024 season debut until August because of a shoulder injury.

He returned for one game before sustaining a hamstring strain that sidelined him an additional month. Graterol made six appearances for the Dodgers in September before dealing with shoulder inflammation.

The right-hander made his way back for the 2024 World Series, making three appearances. Graterol underwent labrum surgery in the offseason and had tried to work his way back for the 2025 postseason.

While he didn’t make it back for the Dodgers’ World Series run last year, he is set to return this season.

Graterol’s last full season was the 2023 campaign, where he made 68 appearances. The right-hander sported a 1.20 ERA across 67.1 innings pitched.

Graterol has been with the Dodgers since 2020 when he was part of the trade that sent Kenta Maeda to the Minnesota Twins. Across five seasons with LA, Graterol has made 178 regular season appearances for the Dodgers, producing a 2.69 ERA with 11 saves across 181 innings. In the postseason, Graterol has made 24 appearances with a 1.93 ERA across 23.1 innings.

Graterol is set to become a free agent in 2027.
