Let’s have a little rampant speculation run amok here.
Let’s say that the Phillies are actually able to push this one over the goal line and sign Bo Bichette. We’re not really worried about the years or money right now, we’re worried about fit. Roster construction wise, he’s a good fit since he does a lot of what the Phillies need, but what about his actual stuff on the field.
What would be Bichette’s best position to play with the Phillies? A lot of the numbers suggest that maybe second base is where he should go, but Bryson Stott is a league average bat and a near Gold Glove second baseman. Maybe third base since trading Alec Bohm is the only way this signing is going to work?
