Major League Baseball is coming back to NBC and Peacock in a big way this year, and we now have the full schedule for every game that’s on deck this season — including an opening day doubleheader on Thursday, March 26 and plenty of face-offs between some of the biggest stars in the sport.
The NBC Sports 2026 MLB schedule features 27 primetime games across a mix of Sunday Night Baseball and holiday/special event games on NBC and Peacock. There will also be 34 afternoon games across NBC and Peacock, including 18 MLB Sunday Leadoff games that will kick off the day’s action on Peacock. Peacock will also feature a Sunday afternoon whip-around show on Sunday afternoons, offering look-ins at all the action going on across the league.
NBC Sports will also be home to “Star-Spangled Sunday” on July 5, featuring all 15 MLB games exclusively presented nationally on NBC and Peacock. NBC Sports will also have exclusive coverage of the entire Wild Card round of the MLB postseason on NBC and Peacock.

By adding Sunday Night Baseball to NBC’s primetime lineup this year, the network will now feature year-round primetime sports programming on the same night each week — a broadcast network first — as Sunday Night Baseball joins Sunday Night Football and Sunday Night Basketball on the pro sports Sunday time slot rotation.

The full NBC and Peacock baseball schedule has now been announced (see below), with plenty of marquee games that will likely prove crucial in the chase for this season’s World Series. The season starts with a Opening Day doubleheader on Thursday, March 26 on NBC and Peacock, when 2025 NL Cy Young Award Winner Paul Skenes and the Pittsburgh Pirates visit Juan Soto and the New York Mets at 1 p.m. ET; followed by the World Series Champion Los Angeles Dodgers raising the banner as they host the Arizona Diamondbacks at 8 p.m. ET in the only primetime game of Opening Day.

Then Sunday Night Baseball debuts March 29 at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock with a matchup of American League division winners featuring the Cleveland Guardians and Seattle Mariners. Across the primetime lineup, fans can catch four appearances each for the World Champion Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, and San Diego Padres, plus three primetime games each for the New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Detroit Tigers, and Seattle Mariners.
The line-up also features plenty of storied rivalries from across the league in primetime. Throughout the season, Sunday Night Baseball will be home to division rivalry games including Diamondbacks-Dodgers (March 26); Braves-Phillies (April 19); Tigers-Royals (May 10); Rangers-Angels (May 24); Cubs-Cardinals (May 31); Mets-Phillies (June 21); Yankees-Red Sox (June 28); Padres-Dodgers (July 5); Mariners-Astros (August 16); and Padres-Giants (Sept. 13).
For baseball fans wondering who the next generation of MLB stars will be, NBC and Peacock will present early first-round coverage of the MLB Draft at 1:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 11, as well as the All-Star Futures Game at Noon ET on Sunday, July 12.
