I could not be more thrilled at the benefits this will provide for Xavier students and employees in the decade ahead.”The Reds and Xavier share strong ties. Castellini has served as a member of the Board of Trustees for Xavier, as well as Chairman of Xavier’s Development Committee. Reds’ Chief Communications & Community Officer Karen Forgus previously served on the Xavier University Athletics Advisory Council while Chief Operating Officer Doug Healy, an XU alum, currently serves on the President’s Advisory Council at Xavier University.As part of the partnership, Xavier and the Reds will enhance academic opportunities for students and create new pathways for hands-on learning connected to one of the most historic franchises in Major League Baseball.Included in the partnership are new opportunities for Xavier students, expanded curriculum development within Sports Management and related academic programs, co-branding presence at Great American Ball Park and Xavier’s campus, Reds participation in Xavier classes as research partners and more.The new partnership will be celebrated this week, with Reds representatives being featured at Xavier’s men’s basketball game against Butler on Wednesday.
