Michael Massey and the Kansas City Royals avoided arbitration and agreed to a $1.57 million contract in 2026. (Anne Rogers on X)

Happy arb day. #Royals have several eligible players that will be negotiating salaries for the 2026 season today.

Source tells me that Michael Massey agreed to a $1.57 million contract (as @AriA1exander first said).

Also, Daniel Lynch IV agrees to a $1.025 million deal.

Fantasy Impact:

Massey struggled through multiple injuries last season and batted just .244 with three home runs in 77 games with the Royals. However, between 2023 and 2024, Massey combined to hit 29 home runs while driving in 100 runs in 229 games with Kansas City. He is once again penciled in to be the starting second baseman for the Royals in 2026 and, if he can stay healthy, he is capable of returning to his 2024 form.
