John Schreiber and the Kansas City Royals avoided arbitration and agreed to a one-year deal worth $3.715 million for the 2026 season. (Joel Sherman on X)

Some arbitration eligible settlements that I am not sure were reported late last night: Jake Bird (Yankees) $975,000, Cole Sands (Twins) $1.1M, Alex Jackson (Twins) $1.35M, John Schreiber (Royals) $3.715M.

Fantasy Impact:

Schreiber has turned himself into a reliable reliever at the major league level over the the past four seasons. After posting a 6.28 ERA in two years with Detroit, the righthander has pitched to a 3.32 ERA over 230.1 innings with Boston and Kansas City from 2022-25. Schreiber should fill a middle relief role for the Royals again in 2026.
