MANCHESTER, N.H. —

Derry native Liam Doyle has been ranked among the top left-handed pitching prospects in baseball for 2026.

On Tuesday, MLB.com ranked Doyle fourth on its list.

The former Pinkerton Academy star was selected fifth overall by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2025 Major League Baseball draft.

In September, Doyle was promoted to the Springfield Cardinals, St. Louis’ Double-A team, after making just one start with the Cardinals Single-A affiliate.

Analysts estimate Doyle could be called up to the majors during or before the 2027 season.

They say Doyle and Payton Tolle of the Boston Red Sox have the best fastballs among left-handed pitching prospects.

MLB.com is scheduled to release its top 100 prospects list across all positions later this month.
