(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are making a splash in the international free agent market. The team signed Venezuelan shortstop Enmanuel Merlo to a one-and-a-half million dollar signing bonus yesterday. Merlo is ranked as the number-34 prospect of the 2026 international class. Minnesota also signed Nicaraguan shortstop Juan Diego Holmann.
