DETROIT — The Detroit Tigers have signed catcher Aaron Antonini to a minor-league contract.

Antonini, 27, played college ball at Middle Tennessee and was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 18th round in 2019.

He reached as high as Triple-A Memphis with the Cards but was let go in 2024 and spent the season playing indy ball. After some time in Mexico, Antonini signed a minor-league deal with the Texas Rangers last summer.
