Playing for the Águilas Cibaeñas, the D-backs infielder delivered a go-ahead single in the top of the seventh inning with the bases loaded. The line drive allowed one run to score, giving the Águilas a 3-2 lead over the Toros del Este.
The Águilas continued to add on runs and went on to secure a 6-2 victory, but it was Perdomo’s clutch hit that sparked the offense and helped his team take the lead for the rest of the game.
For Perdomo, moments like this are nothing new.
The Arizona infielder has earned a reputation for his steady presence in high-leverage situations and his ability to work counts in his favor at the plate. Whether he is playing in the desert or in his home country, that same approach continues to produce results, helping lead his team to victory in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
