ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Knighthawks honored Brighton High School graduate and Toronto Blue Jays star Ernie Clement Saturday.

The star met the Knighthawks coaches and players during the team’s morning practice. He also signed autographs and participated in a jersey swap with Knighthawks forward Ryan Lanchbury,

“Rochester is home for me, and this community is so special,” said Clement. “To get an opportunity to come hangout and just be embraced by this community it means the world to me because this is home and I love the people here.”

Clement made history with a record-setting World Series performance, achieving 30 hits in one postseason. He also set a Blue Jays’ playoff record with a 13-game hitting streak.

Clement also made an appearance at a Buffalo Sabres game in December, and was given the key to Monroe County shortly after his postseason run. Most recently, Clement was named to Team USA for the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

He is set to perform the ceremonial faceoff before the Knighthawks game Saturday against the Toronto Rock at 8 p.m. at Blue Cross Arena. For last minute tickets, click here.
