PHILADELPHIA – According to multiple reports, free agent catcher J.T. Realmuto is returning to the Philadelphia Phillies on a three-year, $45 million deal.

The contract also is said to include incentives that can increase the annual value by $5 million. The organization has not formally announced the signing.

Originally signed by Philadelphia prior to the 2021 season, Realmuto has been a fixture behind the plate for manager Rob Thomson – starting a league-high 132 games in 2025.
