The Toronto Blue Jays have sent out invites to 2026 Spring Training to a number of internal non-roster players, including reliever Yariel Rodriguez and infield prospect Arjun Nimmala.

Rodriguez, 28, appeared in 66 games with the Blue Jays last season, recording a 3.08 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 66 strikeouts over 73.0 innings. The right-hander was moved off the 40-man roster in December after going unclaimed on outright assignment waivers.

Rodriguez joined the Blue Jays as a free agent in February of last year and pitched two seasons in Toronto with a 3.83 ERA in 87 combined appearances.

He also pitched in four postseason games for the Jays during their run to the World Series. After not allowing a run in his first two appearances against the New York Yankees in the American League Division Series, Rodriguez allowed runners to score in back-to-back games during the AL Championship Series against the Seattle Mariners and was eventually left off the World Series roster.

Nimmala, 20, is the Jays’ No. 3 overall prospect, according to MLB Pipeline. He played 120 games with High-A Vancouver last season and hit 13 home runs, drove in 61 and scored 70 runs.
