PHOENIX — Geraldo Perdomo won’t be the only Arizona Diamondbacks representative in MLB Network’s Top 100 Players Right Now, as Ketel Marte and Corbin Carroll joined him in the rankings.

Marte, one of the league’s elite second basemen, landed at No. 19. At the same time, Carroll, the speedy, power-hitting outfielder, came in at No. 9. The rankings — along with Perdomo’s placement at No. 24– showcase the club’s continued development and its return to a national conversation it once struggled to reenter.

With the duo at the top of the lineup, they have helped evolve Arizona’s style of play. Small ball, contact, speed and power have become synonymous with the approach the Diamondbacks have leaned on over the past several seasons.

For Marte, his consistency as one of the most reliable switch-hitters in baseball, paired with strong plate discipline, has made him a back-to-back All-Star. Defensively, he remains an all-around contributor on both sides of the ball, showing no signs of slowing down.

For Carroll, his rise reflects a fast-tracked learning curve and adaptability. After a historic rookie season, his sophomore year brought challenges. He struggled for much of the year before surging in the second half and carrying that momentum into his third season. Even areas once viewed as weaknesses, such as his arm strength in right field, have shown improvement as he continues to grow into a cornerstone for the franchise.

Together, their presence has helped shift the culture in the desert. Rather than relying on a single star, the Diamondbacks have built around a group of strong, elite talents that complement one another. That balance has paid off in clutch moments and memorable wins throughout the 2025 season.

In a division filled with stars and in a market that can sometimes be overshadowed, national acknowledgment of the trio signals that Arizona’s talent is no longer flying under the radar. Fans in the Valley have seen it develop firsthand.

Now, it’s no secret.

With Perdomo, Marte and Carroll leading the way, the Diamondbacks are earning respect not only locally but across the league.
