Trustmark Park will be the site of the 2026 HBCU Power Series during college baseball’s opening weekend. 

The ballpark is in Pearl, Miss., and is the home of the Mississippi Mud Monsters, who are a member of Major League Baseball’s Frontier League. 

The event will feature three games each day from February 13-15. 

What HBCUs are Playing in the 2026 Power Series? 

Six different HBCUs will play in the 2026 Power Series at Trustmark Park. Those teams are the Alabama A&M Bulldogs, Grambling State Tigers, Jackson State Tigers, Alcorn State Braves, Texas Southern Tigers, and Prairie View A&M Panthers.

All six teams are members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). 

Alabama A&M finished the 2025 season 10-40 overall and were 2-27 in SWAC play. They finished second from last in the SWAC standings, just ahead of Alcorn State. The Braves were 6-43 overall and won just one game in conference play last season. 

Grambling State finished the 2025 college baseball season with a 26-28 overall record. They were 18-11 in SWAC play and were a top five team in the conference. 

Jackson State finished just below Grambling State in the SWAC standings in sixth place. They had a 30-21 overall record and were 16-12 in conference play.

Texas Southern finished with a 22-31 overall record last season. They had a 15-15 record in SWAC play and finished in eighth place in the conference standings. 

Prairie View A&M finished just below Texas Southern in the conference standings in ninth place. The Panthers had a 17-36 overall record and were 13-14 in conference play.

7:00 p.m. – Prairie View A&M vs. Jackson State
