The Texas Rangers are going to make a case for having the best pitching rotation in Major League Baseball.
It was already pretty strong, and that was before they traded for Nationals left-hander MacKenzie Gore on Thursday.
Texas had to give up five prospects, but they held onto superstar shortstop prospect Sebastian Wolcott, so all is good on that front.
And now it’s time to admire the rotation.

Texas Rangers projected starting pitching rotation
The order here could change depending on what Texas wants to do, but in any order, this is awesome:
Jacob deGromNathan EovaldiMacKenzie GoreJack LeiterKumar Rocker
If Rocker doesn’t put it together, lefty Jacob Latz could be the fifth starter.
deGrom is one of the best pitchers of his generation.
Eovaldi is coming off maybe the best season of his career.

Gore is a dominant strikeout force from the left side.
Leiter has bounced back from almost being a bust to instead become a reliable righty.
Rocker has upside still to be tapped into, or Latz can be a steady No. 5 starter if needed.
Texas can make a run for an AL West title, and be dangerous in a postseason series, with this rotation.
