The Cleveland Guardians and star third baseman Jose Ramirez are working on a restructured deal that would keep him with the team through 2032, according to multiple reports.
Hector Gomez was first to report the restructured seven-year, $175 million deal Saturday morning. His new contract will add four years and $106 million to his existing deal when finalized.

According to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, Ramirez’s new contract pays him annual salaries of $25 million per season with $10 million deferred. It also includes private jet usage and doubles the payout he would receive upon winning any awards from his previous contract.
Ramirez and the Guardians previously reached a five-year, $124 million extension in 2022.
The 33-year-old is as consistent as they come and had another strong season for Cleveland in 2025. He slashed .283/.360/.503 with 30 home runs, 85 RBI and made the All-Star Team for the fifth season in a row. He’s finished inside the top-10 in AL MVP voting in six consecutive seasons.
For his career, Ramirez has 285 home runs and an .857 OPS with a total of seven All-Star nods and six Silver Slugger Awards.
He made his MLB debut as a 20-year-old back in September of 2013 and has played his entire 13-year career with the Guardians.
