Los Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith has agreed to host Dodgers Comedy Night for the Netflix is A Joke Festival 2026 in May. The show will take place on May 7 at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, and fan purchase tickets for the event here starting Jan. 23 at 10:00 am PST.

“The back-to-back World Series champions are back at the festival. Join your favorite Dodgers players for a grand slam night of live comedy and surprises presented by Will Smith, All-Star catcher of the LA Dodgers. Hosted by Ken Jeong,” Netflix wrote on the Netflix Is A Joke Festival website.
Multiple comedians will perform throughout the night, including Jeong, Michelle Buteau, Ryan Hamilton, Sam Jay, Tom Papa, Frankie Quiñones and Derrick Stroup.
Smith participated in a similar event for the Netflix Is A Joke Festival in May 2024 to help raise money for his charity, the Catching Hope Foundation. The foundation was started by Smith and his wife, Cara Smith, in 2021 to help support at-risk, underprivileged and low-income children in developing critical skills for self-sufficiency and success.
At the 2024 edition of the event, Clayton Kershaw, Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Tyler Glasnow, Gavin Lux and Jason Heyward along with manager Dave Roberts and front office executives Brandon Gomes and Andrew Friedman attended the show.

Former Dodgers outfielder James Outman was even a volunteer in a magic show by magician Justin Willman during the event.
Smith also organized a live auction with the Catching Hope Foundation and Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation at the 2024 event. The auction raised approximately $35,000 for Catching Hope, according to MLB.
Smith will be back on the stage this May to host another event for the Netflix Is A Joke Festival that will help raise money for Catching Hope. Fans should expect to see some familiar Dodgers faces in the crowd and hear some funny jokes from famous comedians at the event.
