Free agent outfielder Harrison Bader, who played 50 games for the Phillies in 2025, has agreed to a two-year, $20.5 million deal with the San Francisco Giants, according to reports.

The 31-year-old had a strong final two months of the regular season for Philadelphia – batting .305 and scoring 30 runs. He delivered an RBI sacrifice fly to give the Phillies a 3-0 lead in NLDS game one loss to the Dodgers for missing most of the rest of the series with a hamstring strain.

Entering the 2026 season with 8.03 years of service time, the new contract will guarantee that Bader reaches the magical ten-year milestone that entitles players to a full MLB Pension.
