The Cardinals signed OF Nelson Velázquez to a minor league contract.
Fantasy Impact:
The deal includes an invite to spring training. Velazquez played for the Royals and Pirates organizations last season with a stint in Mexico in between. He’ll compete for a platoon role in the Cardinals lineup.
