COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland baseball has added a talented and geographically diverse group of student-athletes, highlighted by highly rated arms, middle infielders, and catchers from across the DMV, Northeast, and beyond. The class features multiple prospects ranked among the top players in their respective states according to Perfect Game.

“Our goal is always to keep the best players in the DMV home, and I think we did a great job of that with this class,” head coach Matt Swope said. “We also brought in outstanding players from across the Northeast and nationally who truly fit our culture and values. The future is bright in College Park.”

 

Dylan Amos – RHP


Dylan Amos, a right-handed pitcher from Leesburg, Virginia, attends Riverside High School and adds versatility on both sides of the ball. Amos is rated as the No. 48 overall player and the No. 22 right-handed pitcher in Virginia by Perfect Game. He also hits right-handed.

Chase Bagley joins the Terps from Whippany, New Jersey, where he attends Don Bosco Prep. A left-handed hitting catcher who throws right-handed, Bagley is ranked as the No. 7 catcher and the No. 52 overall prospect in New Jersey by Perfect Game.

Colton Baron comes to College Park from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Siegel High School. The right-handed pitcher is rated as the No. 87 overall player and the No. 25 prospect in the state of Tennessee by Perfect Game.
