Breckenridge police say a missing woman last seen on TikTok has been found dead. A man has been arrested as investigators look into her death.

BRECKENRIDGE, Texas — Breckenridge police are investigating the death of a missing woman after her body was discovered Tuesday during the execution of a search warrant.

Police say 24-year-old Chyra Davis of Breckenridge was found dead inside a residence after officers, along with the Texas Rangers, conducted a search as part of an ongoing missing person investigation.

Davis was last seen in Breckenridge on January 18 around 10 p.m. Police say she was last seen during a TikTok livestream from her home and was reported missing on January 22. Investigators say it was unusual for Davis not to be in contact with her family and that posts on her social media suggested she may have been injured.

Later Tuesday, Breckenridge police, working alongside the Texas Rangers and the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, arrested 47-year-old Shane Anthony of Breckenridge. Anthony was taken into custody on a Stephens County District Court warrant and charged with tampering with a corpse, a second-degree felony.

According to police, Anthony has a prior domestic violence charge from 2020. Authorities say they are continuing to investigate whether he is connected to Davis’s death.

Breckenridge police say the investigation remains active and ongoing, and they are working closely with the Texas Rangers as they determine the circumstances surrounding Davis’s death.

Anyone with information related to this case is urged to contact the Breckenridge Police Department.
