Tigers Softball has been to the third round three years in a row. Baseball is looking to get back in the postseason after two years away.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Carroll Tigers’ baseball and softball programs are getting ready for what they hope are big 2026 seasons.

Softball is coming off a third consecutive run to the third round. Head Coach AJ Caballero lost some senior starters off that squad, but do return a pair of key ones in shortstop Kaeleigh Mendez (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi commit) and pitcher Isabella Montalvo.

The Tigers seniors say if some new freshman can come through with some contributions, Carroll has a chance to compete again both in the district and the region.

Carroll Baseball might be one of the area’s blueblood programs, but they’re looking for a return to glory, or at least the postseason after missing out the last two seasons.

The Tigers return a wealth of experience, including senior pitchers Christian Hernandez and Aidan Saenz. The two lead an otherwise younger, but experienced returning lineup.

Head Coach David Marsello figured they would take some lumps with the roster turnover the last couple years, but says he’s hoping now the Tigers can compete in an always tough District 29-5A.
